I found my problem at first was I would go into a run trying to tailor it to what I wanted rather than what it was curving me into. I've won 3 times with Ironclad. Once it was with a Block/Body Slam deck that came together like that. Another was through deck cycling that card that increases with every use plus Pommel Strike to get it back every other turn. Act 1 I basically take the best card available. Act 2 is when I look at my entire deck and see what I can curve into. --- |

I did the "get rid of your starting relic, get a boss relic" which gave me a Bell which gave me three relics. One of them was the Shuriken. So I figured, hey, I'll aim for the Shiv style deck. I even got the Boot early on. My wins with Silent have always been with stacking poison. There is a card that at the base doubles, and smithed TRIPLES the level of poison a target has. Had the Act 3 boss taking well over 60 poison per turn after a couple rounds. --- |

| Jeff AKA Snoopy 07/11/20 12:35:24 AM #1 | Pineapple is BEST when it is juicy. Even if you grill it, you grill the juicy parts and caramelize it. However, it is STILL inherently juicy. If you overcook it, it becomes gross. So, extrapolating this thought... Juicy Pineapple on a pizza makes it soggy. This is not good. Even slightly grilled it is still juicy, thus on the pizza it makes it not good. If you cook out all the juiciness from the pineapple to avoid the soggy aspect, then the pineapple tastes bad. It does not work. --- |

It was their fathers that struggled with that or plain flat out rejected the idea (for Joel). Both Ellie and Abby basically become vengeful hate filled monsters to enact their revenge on the person who murdered their father. It shows that as much as they have some cavalier ideas about themselves and the worth of their own lives, when it comes to their family, they would basically have done the exact same thing as Joel did. --- |

We see actually the character arc Abby goes through is similar to what Joel went through. That being said, he literally mass murders and stops a potential cure due to his own selfishness. He also says he would do it again. That is one of the best things about this world building. The selfish and those willing to do the dirty work live. There is no real benefit to doing the good thing, which makes it so much more laudable when people do the good thing. --- |

Abby - kills a MASS MURDERER. Remember, he didn't just kill her father, but also basically destroyed the Fireflies as a whole. Most likely he killed the parents of all her friends. Yes, she took it too far. She tortured the man for her own hopes of releasing herself from the PTSD (thus all the dreams she was having) and it took her the rest of the story to understand what would truly release her from her hatred spiral. She tortures and murders essentially the Boogey-Man. --- |

In a lot of ways, Abby is a lot like Joel in the first game, especially once Lev is introduced to the game. Hell, they mirror mechanics from TLOU 1 that Joel and Ellie did together. Ellie ends up reflecting the worst in both Abby and Joel. She brings it together in the end by not killing Abby. It also helps this is the best voice actor and capture performance I've ever seen in a video game. --- |

I know a few of my teaching colleagues have said they almost kinda wish they could get it now over the summer so when fall hits (schools here are opening up in the fall) they don't even have to worry about it. They aren't working over the summer, they can effectively quarantine, and then can work without fear when the schools open. I feel it is inherently selfish but also like... not an unreasonable feeling to have. Granted I don't know if the research suggests you cannot get it twice, and there is the potential for even healthy younger people to die from it. --- |
